Squealing, grinding or a pedal that feels soft? We inspect the whole brake system and show you what's worn before we replace anything.

Brake Repair

Brake service for Houston drivers

Stop-and-go traffic and Houston heat are tough on brakes. Pads wear down, rotors get grooved or warped, and old brake fluid soaks up moisture and stops working as well.

We pull the wheels, measure the pads and rotors, check the calipers, hoses and fluid, and tell you exactly what needs replacing now and what still has life left.

When to book

Signs your brakes need attention

Squealing or squeaking

Many pads have a wear indicator that squeals when they get thin.

Grinding

Metal on metal: the pads are gone and the rotors are getting damaged.

Shaking when you brake

The steering wheel or pedal vibrates, often from warped rotors.

Soft or low pedal

The pedal sinks farther than it used to, which can mean air, a leak or old fluid.

FAQ

Brake Repair questions

How long do brake pads last?

It varies a lot with driving. City and highway traffic wears them faster. We measure them so you know how much is left.

Do I need new rotors with new pads?

Not always. If the rotors are within spec and smooth, they can stay. If they're grooved, warped or too thin, they should be replaced.

Why do my brakes squeal?

Often it's the wear indicator telling you the pads are thin. It can also be glazing or dust. We'll check which.
